Happy Birthday, America!
This is what my daughter has been saying all day today. It's a special feeling (when she wasn't screaming or pitching a fit about getting in her car seat) to hear your 2-year-old child wish the USA a Happy Birthday.
And so I'll take this moment, with the day coming to a close, to wish you all a happy and safe Fourth, a wonderful weekend overall, and a HUGE thanks to the men and women, overseas and at home, keeping our country as incredible as it is, and keeping us all safe. I send you my gratitude for all that you do, every single day, to make our world the way it is today.
And I'm proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.
And I'd gladly stand UP
Next to you and defend her still, today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt, I love this land.
G-d bless the USA.
