If you haven't yet heard about Not Me Mondays, check out this link for more info of what MckMama's up to.
As for me ... well ...
I certainly did NOT sleep until 11:30 yesterday morning while my hubby entertained our daughter. And also did a dishwasher run, AND soaked some of the leftover dishes/pots/pans. Nope. I'd never sleep that late. Haven't since I was a college student.
I also didn't consider napping on the couch at all last week while my little princess ruled the roost, playing with whatever she came across in our living room, toddler-proof or not.
Oh, and I'm certainly not less qualified than said not-yet-3-year-old to figure out how to begin playing our computer/TV connected paint games. And I also am not the one who doesn't know how to switch from the teenytiny mouse to the bigger mouse that is more comfortable for mommy. Nope. Not me.
I haven't practically finished an entire box of chocolate covered graham cookies. The ones shaped like stars. You know the kind? No. Well, let's just say there aren't about 100+ cookies in this d@mned box. No way would I have at least 5-6 daily. Just 'cause.
I also wouldn't leave my hubby two evenings in a row. Once to see a movie (The Blind Side, which I would try to discuss with you now, but I'm afraid you [and I!] wouldn't know what the heck I was trying to say with all of these nots in the comment, so I'll save that for another date!) and the next night to meet up with my friends/colleagues to discuss bidness. Nope. I wouldn't do that to him.
I also wouldn't be so tired last night that I kind of fell asleep before my daughter did on the floor of her room. And I'd never give up on getting her to bed, or threaten to leave if she did not get IN her bed, and then I'd also never follow through on that and leave the room while she screamed and cried for me. And I'd also never have hubby finish bedtime after that.
I also would not want to wish you all a wonderful New Year. I would never feel so shocked that it's 2010, nor would I listen to my hubby, who had our daughter remind me the next morning that I would be 40 this decade (as will he, btw) and I'd never turn around and tell her that she is going to be TEN! Nope. Never. Ten!?! My little baby? Holy cow. That's not crazy to imagine, is it?
And so, what's up with you? What have you not done this past week or so?
Mmmmm, chocolate covered graham cookies. I would NEVER eat an entire box either!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
I didnt fall asleep on my daughter's floor either, or fall asleep before her. ;)
I like "Not Me Mondays!" Cool idea. I slept late all last week (shameful) and am so regretting it today when I had to get up early and take my son to school. Ugh. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHey, I didn't know you had a blog!!! Awesome, consider me a follower now! Shall we try to schedule a meet up soon now that the holidays are over? Way long overdue!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of you sleeping in!
ReplyDeleteI really liked The Blind Side. I was surprised because I almost never like a movie or a book that everyone is raving about.
I like those chocolate teddy grahams! I can eat a half a box in a sitting if I let myself!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you fell asleep on the floor. That's cute.
Hi! I'm visiting from MBC. Great blog.
ReplyDeleteI would never fall asleep in my kids room either! Or sleep in while my husband took over- NEVER! Can you believe people who do such things??
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)
