You are SO right. I have been reading to Little Duck since before she popped her wee little head out of the egg. She is a book worm if there ever was one. It makes me SO proud. She makes text to real life connections constantly and she's only 2 - it amazes me. She has the most amazing imagination already and she can sit with a book and be entertained for the longest time. We would do just fine with out that flickering boob tube if need be.
