Have you heard of ZonePerfect?
I'm going to guess that you have.
They're a well-known brand of bars. Not party hard and drink heavily kinds of bars. Quite the opposite, in fact. More of a *on the run and need to grab something healthy for breakfast - snack - or whatever* kind of bars.
I'm reviewing their three new ZonePerfect Perfectly Simple bars. Three flavors. Pretty yummy ones, too.
My favorite? Peanut crunch.
Peanut crunch has 6 ingredients, 190 calories and 10 grams of protein.
10 grams of protein in a yummy, natural bar?
Sign me up, please.
Those six ingredients? Peanut butter (peanuts), invert evaporated cane juice, soy protein isolate, date paste, rolled oats and coconut. And the other flavors? Eight and ten ingredients. Where can you find something with so few and all natural ingredients these days? You're right - it's pretty rare.
Here's what they look like in the store:
And what I'm giving away today!
I know many people are anti-protein bars, but I'm going to tell you something, I'm not one of them.
I don't advocate for using these as meal replacement, by any means whatsoever. And I wouldn't say that that is something ZonePerfect is trying to encourage at all. Which is a huge part of why I was open to reviewing the product, and once I knew I liked them, hosting a giveaway.
I actually met up with ZonePerfect last June at Type-A Parent Conference. I spoke with them again this year and they're really open to meeting, chatting and discussing why ZonePerfect could be the right snack for you.
Moms on the go, whether they work, stay at home, do both, they tend to forget about themselves. Dads do it, too. Don't let them pretend that they don't! And having a ZonePerfect bar handy has worked for me. When I wake up in the morning and am just not ready for breakfast. I kind of want something, and I know I need protein. These bars have done well for me. I start my day with one with a glass of almond milk, or an iced coffee, and I do okay for a little while until I'm up for a more substantial meal.
They hold me over.
And that's what I look for when I look for a bar-type snack.
I hope you'll consider entering my giveaway to give them a try. What do you have to lose?
p.s. They also have some other really delicious bars worth trying. Their chocolate peanut butter? Yeah. Really good. And the chocolate mint? Swear to goodness it tastes like a Thin Mint cookie. I was kind of anti-trying, but then I did. Ah, yes. YUM.
* I received three boxes of these bars to review from ZonePerfect. All expressed opinions are my own. I was not required to review in order to do this giveaway, but decided I like the bars enough to offer them to my readers*
My favorite bar right now is gnu banana bread- i crumble it into a cup of greek yogurt with fruit for breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI am still skeptical because I always feel as though the taste of these bars is "good enough." As in, good enough considering they are a protein bar. But not actually good.
