Decorating for the holidays can feel like a chore. For some reason it was easier before I was a mom. I simply pulled out the bin for the appropriate season and moved ahead from there.
Easy as 1-2-3. Or something.
Honestly, I probably just pulled out a few pretty pillows and left it at that. Right now I could only try to guess where those pillows have disappeared to. Any ideas?
If I were a betting mama (which I sometimes am) I'd guess my daughter had them hidden somewhere. Same for the stuffed animal-pumpkins I've had for years. She's got 'em somewhere.
This year I focused only on the outside. My pillows and blankets and indoor decor are hiding in a bin. Some of this year's outdoor decorations are in hiding, as well. Not on purpose, we've just been really busy! You know how it is.
And one of my favorite indoor Halloween themed items is office-friendly. In fact, this container has survived moves from office to office, from New York to North Carolina. What better treat to have on-hand for your coworkers this time of the year, too? And if they don't like it? More for you!
You can submit up to five photos per household, so you have five chances to be that grand prize winner. So - what are you waiting for? I'm sure you have at least one cute shot that can show a glimpse of the Halloween flavor you've added to your home. Enter the contest today!
As for me? I'm going to be more prepared for next year. And maybe even for Thanksgiving, because I've done some imaginary decorating. Maybe it's more like virtual shopping. But either way, I've got my eye on a few things.
Check out these fun fall-ish items I found over at Wayfair. Yes, they're sponsoring this post, but they didn't ask me to do this, I just decided that with my new Polvore addiction that it would be a lot of fun. And so here you have it. My Fall at Wayfair board.
Oh! I almost forgot one last thing. Our neighborhood currently has a perfect Halloween accessory. Our neighbors have a black cat. This cat is so sweet, but also pretty demanding. Check out her attitude as she took over our truck for a few minutes. Sneaky lil thing.
So - fill me in - what's your favorite Halloween decoration? Do you have a standard you pull out annually? Or do you buy new window clings every year like I do? For anywhere between $1-4 how can I resist?
Happy Halloween!!!
