But I'm thinking that December is going to be the month of this beauty, and so I want to make sure you're as prepared as I am to whip one up as quickly as possible.
There is a visual step-by-step of the recipe below. Now, I don't quite have recipe cards on my site - but I'm going to try to create one for you somehow and promise to update when I do.
You'll also find a few affiliate links for any pantry products available and some of my favorite kitchen products. Happy shopping!
Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Braid Recipe
Broccoli (2c)
Chicken (2c)
Cheese (2c)
Combine all three ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
add to broccoli/cheese/chicken mixture
2 cans of crescent rolls
lay out on your baking sheet
* tip: I'm a big fan of parchment paper - it makes clean up a snap! *
scoop mixture and lay down the center of dough
make cuts on sides of crescent dough
fold onto center of sheet in braid-like manner
Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until brown.
Enjoy!
p.s. many people do an egg wash on this kind of recipe - but I'll admit it - I'm just too lazy to egg wash anything. So, if you prefer it and it works for you? Go for it. But if you don't? Don't stress about it. Because I won't tell if you won't.
Have you ever tried a recipe like this before? Have any favorite crescent braid fillings? Let me know in the comments - I'd love to try something new.
This probably wouldn't come out looking very pretty if I made it, but it sounds like something the guys in my house would love!
ReplyDeleteI've made this in a pampered chef version.
